What we collect

Pricebloke is designed with privacy first. We collect as little data as possible:

• Location data — your state and suburb, stored only in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers.
• Shopping list — stored only in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted.
• Receipt uploads — images are processed to extract product names and prices only. Images are not stored after processing.
• Feedback submissions — if you submit feedback with an email address, it is stored securely and used only to follow up on your message.

What we do NOT collect

• No accounts or user profiles required
• No tracking cookies
• No advertising networks
• No sale of personal data to third parties
• No device fingerprinting

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — hosting and edge network. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Supabase — database hosting in Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Price data only — no personal data.
• Google Cloud Vision — used to process receipt images. Images are sent to Google for OCR processing and are not retained. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Google Places API — used for suburb autocomplete. Suburb search queries are sent to Google. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold. Since we hold almost none, this is straightforward — contact us via the Feedback page.
